Konstrukcija stemmed from the reunion of Stropu Jurka (STROPS, VSKB, but also the radio show INTERVILNIS) and Gatis Druvaskalns (STARPLIKTUVE, CELMLAUZIS) in spring 2011. Their sound is very reminiscent of the analogical minimal electronic wave in the vein of early pioneers such as Kraftwerk, El Aviador Dro or Yellow Magic Orchestra to which they added that indescribable Latvian frostbitten atmosphere from a country where the winter temperature may fall to -30º C and winter lasts for half of the year...

Cosmic-industrial duo AUN, forge their ambient-psychedelia, into a glitchy, pulsing, waking dream experience. Born out of the meeting of veteran producer and dj, Martin Dumais (Stärker, Les Jardiniers), and visual/sound artist Julie Leblanc. Since their 2007 beginning, this Montreal power couple, have performed 150+ concerts, in over twenty countries, at such key events as Mutek, FIMAV, Roadburn, Phobos, Wave Gothic,
Heart of Noise, and will soon embark on Japan and Europe tours.
Their critically acclaimed discography of over 15 albums, ep's and splits, on top avant-garde labels as : Denovali (Germany), Cyclic Law (Canada), Important (USA), Alien8 Recordings (Canada), Conspiracy (Belgium), Drone (Germany), have earned them a solid ever growing international following.
The duo have recently completed two new albums, including a collaborative effort with noted french turntablist Philippe Petit (Lydia Lunch, Murcof).
STARPLIKTUVE (LV)

/ˈstarpliktuve/ [Lv. a) “clipboard”; b) “data buffer”] One-man synth music project from Latvia. Since its launch in 2007 the project has survived many experimental driftings in its sonic character, ranging from noisy rhythmics of emulated Atari soundchips to minimalistic soundscapes generated by analog synths with occasional lyrical vocoder and acoustic experiments in between. In terms of genre the project currently may be approximately described as experimental electro with elements of ambient, techno and pop, harvesting inspirational energy from rich electromusical resources of 60ies, 70ies and 80ies. Amongst common motifs in Starpliktuve's music is an ironic contemplation of technological lifestile and its associated hazards of the modern computerised man.
