Ah, 33… Voilà un nombre qui a voyagé : c’est le dernier anniv’ connu de Jésus, le nombre de centilitres dans une cannette standard et même un groupe de salsa colombien ! Mais, pour le coup, on s’en fout un peu car c’est surtout la 33e édition d’un des plus grands festivals de genre au monde : ze BIFFF !! (c’est là que vous applaudissez derrière votre écran).
On n’a pas encore le droit de tout vous dévoiler mais les classiques reviennent : des avant-premières en pagaille, des invités délirants et surtout un public d’enfer !
La 2e édition du Marché de coproduction internationale FRONTIERES revient également sur les terres belges et place définitivement le BIFFF à l’avant-poste européen du cinéma de genre.
Pour une fois que la Belgique sera la plaque tournante de quelque chose de légal, on ne va pas se gêner non plus, hein ! En tout cas, les aminches, gardez patience : de nombreuses surprises ne vont pas tarder… Alors, en attendant, WELCOOOOME !!!

33 is een nummer vol betekenis. Het is de laatste verjaardag van Jezus, het aantal centiliters in een bierflesje en zelfs de naam van een Colombiaanse salsagroep! Niet dat we een oorzakelijk verband zien, maar het is ook de 33ste editie van één van de meest waanzinnigste genrefilmfestivals op deze aardkloot: het BIFFF !!! (enig applaus zou nu bijzonder toepasselijk zijn).
We hebben nog niet het recht om alles te onthullen, maar de klassiekers zijn weer van de partij: een stortvloed aan premières, intrigerende gasten en vooral een duivels publiek!
De 2de Brusselse editie van de internationale coproductiemarkt FRONTIERES zet zijn tenten weer op en plaatst het BIFFF definitief in de Europese voorhoede van de genrecinema (voor één keer dat België de draaischijf is van iets legaals, gaan we ons zeker niet generen).
Wees in ieder geval geduldig, vrienden. Heel wat verrassingen staan te trappelen in de coulissen om tevoorschijn te springen. In afwachting alvast een hartelijke… WELCOOOOME!!!

33 is a number full of meaning. It’s the last anniversary of Christ, it’s how many centiliters are contained in a beer bottle and it’s even the name of a Columbian salsa band! Not that we see any causal connection, but it’s also the 33rd edition of one of the most famous genre film festivals on the planet: the BIFFF!!! (feel free to applaud until you can no longer feel your hands).
We cannot yet reveal everything, but you can expect the classics to return in force: a dazzling amount of first screenings and intriguing guests and, especially, a devilish audience!
The 2nd Brussels’ edition of the international coproduction market FRONTIERES will draw the international film industry to the Belgian capital, definitively placing the BIFFF in the European vanguard of genre cinema (for once that Belgium is known for something legal, we’re certainly not going to hold back).
In any case, try to be patient, friends. Many surprises are just waiting to burst out of the closet. In the meanwhile, please accept a most heartfelt… WELCOOOOOOME!!!
